THE INCA EMPIRE : The incas called their territory tawantinsuyu,whic in quecha,the inca language,means the four parts.a landof diverse terrain and climates very marked,,which incluided a large desert strip along the coast , interspersed with rich irrigated valleys,high peaks and deep fertile valleys of the andes,and the mountain peaksof the reinforest to the east. the word inca designated theleader himself and the people of the valley of cuzco , the capital of the empire.it is sometimes used to refer to all the people included in the tawantinsuyu,but this is not correct.most of the smaler kingdoms kept their identity even though they were politicallyand economically linked to the incas.the quechua was the official lenguage spoken in most communities until the arrival of the spanish,but at least 20 local dialects remained in some parts of the empire .RELIGON: The state religion was based on sun worship inca emperors wereregarded as descendents of the sun gots, was exploited for the use of leaders and members of the elite,not as currency but for decorationand rituals.religion dominated the entire political structure.from the template of the sun at the center of cuzco,we could draw animaginary line towards the places of worship of different social classes in the city.
